We are pleased to announce that the robots built with components produced by FILMS SpA achieved excellent results at the RoboCup World Championships, held in Eindhoven, Netherlands, from July 17 to 21, 2024.
The MegaHertz team from Istituto Cobianchi received the prestigious „Outstanding Design Award“ in the Soccer Open category for the Junior section. This category involves robotic soccer competitions where innovation and design play a crucial role. MegaHertz demonstrated exceptional attention to detail and design, earning the recognition of the technical committee.
Meanwhile, the Elettra Robotics Team secured first place in the @Home Playground category, which focuses on domestic applications of robots and serves as a bridge between the Junior and Major sections. This category is reserved for young individuals who can no longer compete in the Junior section and wish to transition to the Major section, typically reserved for universities. The Elettra Robotics Lab team, in their second participation, includes former students of Cobianchi who worked independently, rewriting last year’s code and introducing significant innovations. This effort allowed them to achieve the highest score in the category.
These achievements demonstrate the dedication and skills of the young participants, who showcased their talents on an international stage. We are extremely proud to have contributed to these milestones with our high-quality components.
