From 2021, the strategic objective of supplying in a timely manner is expanded to include not only the service recognized and already appreciated by customers but also, a higher level of quality of the finished product. The above is achieved through an improvement in terms of executive precision.
This precision concretely implies greater attention to detail, centesimal accuracy, and absolute constancy achieved by product repeatability.
These achievements are possibile through the combined use of the recently installed Agathon tangential grinding machine and the Schneeberger sharpening machine.
The range of carbide tools intended for the wood sector offered by UGP remains unchanged:

- Shaving cutters
- Sectors for grooves
These articles are machined and sharpened by the prestigious machines mentioned above. Thus, allowing a renewed execution with absolute precision, and above all, consistency over time.
The important investments made to modernize and increase efficiency in UGP are showing their results. The appreciation for these advancements comes both from OMCD’s subsidiaries who take advantage of the intra-group work, as well as, from customers who increasingly demand efficiency and speed in sharpening their carbide tools.
The challenge has been to understand specifically how to solve a customer’s problems (no matter if they are within the group or external. By accurately assessing the customer’s problems, UGP is able to produce tools that guarantee a heightened performance to the point of creating contagious satisfaction for all its customers.
