Press forming is the main stage in the forming process of many hard or abrasive components produced for powder sintering. The mould defines the shape of the pressed part. Its parts most subject to wear, usually die and punches, must be made of materials capable of resisting the abrasion of the powders pressed there.
For these applications, where size makes it possible, Hard Metal is widely used. In particular, high hardness grades are used to guarantee maximum durability.
Rings for dies and integral punches
We offer rings for grinding wheel moulds in diameters from 100 to 300. For tooling dedicated to powder moulds we offer hard metal blanks for dies and punches with threading holes for wire EDM and pre-shaping of external and internal profiles.
